
Spatial Skills
Position in Space - the ability to perceive an object’s position in space in relation to the oneself. This perceptual ability is important to understanding directional language concepts, such as: in; out; up; down; in front of; behind; between; left; and right.
Spatial Relationships - the ability to understand and interpret relationships between: oneself and other people, for example - stand behind Mummy; between oneself and other objects, for example - put the chair in front of you; and objects in relation to other objects, for example - put your bag under your table.
